Destination Life…

Hum jo chalne lage, chalne lagey hain yeh raaste
Manzil se behter lagne lage hain yeh raaste

I am fascinated these days by this "train" of thought - “Raasta hi manzil hai” or “The journey is the destination”

The stretch of I-94 highway that morning as the sun came up. The glorious feeling of being on the road. Headed somewhere. Or maybe headed nowhere in particular. Just following the bend of the road. Making the travel the point of the travel. More and more these days – I don’t worry about getting there, I just enjoy the ride.

Aao meelon chalein
Jaana kahan na ho pata…

At one with myself. Alone with myself at last. Comfortable in my own skin.

On the road, there are no rules. Is the road moving backwards? Or am I moving forward? Or is this whole life one big optical illusion? Who’s to say that mirage of water glistening on the highway at a distance isn’t more real than me.

What’s real and important at that moment during the journey, is the fact that I can let go... Embrace life, embrace the chaos, embrace the uncertainty.

Aao kho jaayein hum
Ho jaayein hum yun laapata

Aao meelon chalein
jaana kahan na ho pata...
